Supposedy, a Dr. Franklin Ruehl, who is tangentially a UFO believer, among other things, has a doctorate in theoretical nuclear physics from UCLA.
Is there any way to check this, other than emailing UCLA, etc.?
My point in asking is that he is a guest on the local talk show in a few minutes.
Hah! I remember him from ‘Mysteries from Beyong the Other Dominion’ from when the SciFi Channel started up. He’s great!
But a world class flake or huckster…take your pick.
Not to stray too far from my original purpose(HOW to find out if he truly is a nuclear physicist), I though you might find a quote about him interesting.
Again. Dr. Linus Pauling was a brilliant scientist in his field. When he decided to step outside his field, he strode into the public domain and into uncharted waters.
Is Ruehl the same way? Truly a scientists who happens to hold some unconventional and unsupportable views?

He’s just like you said. Pretty slick guy. He couched his comments with “probably…perhaps…likely” etc.
Again. How do I find out if he has a degree? Although, I now believe he does, having listened to him He’s just an acomplished entertainer. Geraldo is a lawyer, after all.

I miss Dr. Ruehl SO MUCH! He was great on SciFi Channel. He epitomized the greatness of early Cable (as did Night Tracks & Captain USA).
