Freaking Gulf Stream.

Could you like, ease off a bit, y’know? Let London get a bit of snow, perhaps? More than the 5 whole freaking minutes of sleet that we got 3 weeks ago? Now it’s almost the end of winter, and I haven’t seen any SNOW yet. White stuff. Falling frm the sky. Used to make snowballs with.

Sigh.

Oh just give up on the frigging weather! It has become so unpredictable it’s just ridiculous.

Down here we had the worst December/January ever. It was like summer had decided to give NZ a miss. It rained. Then rained. Then rained some more. The temp seemed to never get above 18. We were wearing jumpers! In January!

Then Feb arrived (to be fair the end of Jan) and all of a sudden (well in two weeks) the sea temp rose by 5 degrees. Now we are whingeing about the heat (NZers are far less tolerant of heat then our Aussie neighbours) and humidity.

My birthday is in November. When I was a kid my birthday was always a BBQ at the beach…now I am still wearing layers in Nov and won’t entertain the thought of swimming in the sea till late Jan/Feb.

At the rate the temps are changing we will be having winter Christmas while you lot adjust to summer xmas turkey.

I’m in Oslo. Right now, a light snow is falling, and in some places the accumulation is thick enough to opaquely cover the ground. This is the first real snow we’ve seen since early December! The first trees are bursting into bud and it isn’t even the middle of February yet!

This is without question the weirdest winter I’ve experienced. And I’ve lived in Trondheim, a place not known for sensible weather.

SEE! This proves my tinfoil hat theory. Sometime soon you Northern hemisphere types will be having a summery christmas and we Southern hemisphere types will have to adjust to swimming in June.

You’ll miss it when it’s gone.

So, you had 5 minutes of snow, this winter??? I don’t even remember how this stuff looks like.

There has been green leaves on some trees until January. I was wondering if they would fall at all, and considered asking in GQ if it could be possible.

Would you rather it snowed like it did 2 years ago and everybody panicked in London like it was the end of the Earth? I’ve been here 4 years and seen it snow heavily precisely twice, and a light smattering about 3 times. Theres something wrong up North if it doesn’t snow like that, although this year hasn’t been bad up there at all, from what I saw at Xmas and what me Mum tells me.

Shift up to Scotland or summat, because I certainly don’t expect it to snow here.
