By the cringe it’s bloody cold here in Merrie England.
Darn sarf they’ve had snow and in’t midlands also…that’ll teach 'em
Thus far us hard norvenners have escaped the snow but the wind is bloody freezing and it’s hissing down
Eccles, my cat, is decidedly unimpressed and keeps gazing out the window and sniggering at the dog across the way which is looking extremely pissed seeing as how it’s just got a kennel to keep warm in.
Eccles, on the other hand and when not having a laff, tends to hog the fire and/or my bed emerging only to eat.
I swear she aint been out for a dump in 3 days
Concidentally, only this lunchtime in the pub we were sniggering at the BBC News rolling coverage of ‘heavy snowfall’ causing chaos, with footage of cars upside down in ditches and whatnot - and approx 2cm of snow.
Sooner or later you’ll put on the pair of shoes she’s been using for the last 3 days, and then you’ll swear alright
Shoes? in the NW of England?
Clogs my man, clogs
On January 1 I was driving home in a very faint drizzle of rain, and all of a sudden right at 4 AM EST the sky opened up and spat out the worst “downpour” of heavy snow and wind I have ever seen in my life. In the 5 minutes it took me to drive from the freeway exit to my house, in blinding snow, the ground went from “all clear” to “all snow.”
Apparently it took 3 days for that “weather system” to get across the pond to chowder’s house
We just had the snowiest December in recorded history here in Ottawa. The last couple of days it’s been -20C on average. On the plus side, it actually is going on the plus side next week.
Global warming my ass.
It just isn’t fucking funny any longer.
Now what we have is a storm of ridiculous proportions and it’s started to snow.
Bollocks
The forecast says plus 8ºC by Monday. It’ll be weird if the midwinter thaw comes this early, rather than in the middle of Winterlude in February. Cross your fingers that it doesn’t rain.
