Freaking lenient administrators!!

Lynn seemed to have a field day with her policy of banning people who do nothing but whine. Why not apply that policy to extend to people who are simply spamming the Board while disguising it in fancy words? Hell, we’ve got Seethruart who has done NOTHING but constantly post and repost his same conspiracy nutcase crap, all the while bringing more and more hits to his webpage.

Maybe there should be a “required participation” rule… that is, if you’re not going to interact with other posters, if you’re just going to ignore everyone who disagrees with you, you should be sent on your merry way. It makes the job of Fighting Ignorance very difficult when you’re facing a brick wall.

I suggest we ban anyone who suggest banning someone.

Oops I’m gone too. Damn circular logic.

Second try:

Ban those who whine about those who need to be banned.

Crud! Still includes me.
OK last ones the charm:

How about leaving it up to the Administrators and Moderators to determine who is being a pain in the ass and needs to be banned.

I say if they weigh the same as Duck Duck Goose, we ban them! no, wait…

OK, if we throw them into waterj2, and they sink…hold on…

Ah, I know. OK, if we burn them with fireunderpantsboobs then we can tell who needs to be banned or not!

And if you turn a mod into a newt, that’s just bonus points.

We do.

What ever gave you the impression that they disapprove of feedback?

Wow, someone else remembers Q-Link??

QuantumLink! Dead on Halloween, 1994. Oh, the memories.

Remember it? Psht, I almost bankrupted my parents using it.

Whatever gave you the impression they require your feedback to perform their duties successfully.

Well, since part of their duties seems to be to keep us all reasonably happy and content, they do need some feedback to do it correctly. I mean, it would be cool to see a mod’s paradise version of the SDMB, and probably not too much different than here, but I don’t think the mods want to do their jobs in a vacuum.

You are just so sick is soooo many ways.
But it does provide a neat answer to Lynn’s question, buried in a totally unrelated ATMB thread, about how to retire that poor damned traumatized goat from Doper staff gatherings.

Intersting which male mods blanched and quickly crossed their legs and those who just looked intrigued.*

That should have been a bold your.

I’m fully in favor of feedback. However, I am suspect of anyone who thinks theirs is required or necessary.

To continue this game: whatever gave you the impression that SPOOFE had the impression that the mods require his feedback?

But Demise, whatever gave you the impression that we mods had the impression that Spoofe had the Hibbins impression that…

Crap. I got lost.

Whatever gave you the impression that this was a game?

Whatever gave you the impression that your wisecrack comments were invited?

Why I think you should be banned! I think I’ll go recommend that now.

Actually, my comments are mostly directed at those who insist on compiling lists of posters whom they don’t approve of. SPOOFE got in the way by making what I thought was a rather snide and implicating comment that seemed designed to twist the meaning of my comment.

How 'bout when they fucking ASK us for feedback, you ignorant dick?

And please point out to me ANY comments of mine that indicated that I believed that they “required” any sort of input from me.

Nooooo! At least wait until manhattan gets over losing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Besides, I decided it was a game. And you lose, because you didn’t use the word “impression” more times in one sentence than I did. Thanks for playing though, it’s been special.

BTW, Spoofe really loses. He didn’t even use the word “impression” once in his last post! Quotes don’t count!

Ya’ll just aren’t very good at this…

Hear Hear. I couldn’t agree more.

It’s as bad as the ‘Who’s the best poster here?’ threads, but even worse.

Seriously, what’s the point of these, ‘List of posters we hate’ threads? Are you trying to run them off the board? Why? What about what they say so troubles you?

To me, this attitude represents the epitome of a holier than thou mentality.

Get the fuck over yourself already.

And while you’re at it, try to get out of high-school mode too. You might think it makes you look cool, but it makes you look small minded and shallow. In fact, I think it makes you look worse than the people your trying to get rid of.

Actually, it’s a moral victory for me. Sort of.

SPOOFE,

Why do you have to be a prick about it? Why the condescending attitude? :frowning:

My original statement:

Directed at no particular individual, but rather loosely aimed in the direction of those who generate lists of posters that they believe don’t belong on the board. Talk about presumptuous.

You responded to my original post with:

Witch-hunts are feedback? You want to provide feedback, use email.

So then I responded:

In a later post I wanted to further clarify that I am not against feedback to the mods and admins, rather I dislike the practice making a pariahs list and disguising it as “feedback”.
In retrospect I failed miserably to make my point clearly.

Eventually you responded to both of my previous posts.

[Steve Martin]Well EXCUUUUUUUSE ME![/Steve Martin]
I think you could have made your point that the mods/admins have asked for input on who should be banned without being a fucking twit. Nowhere did I set it in stone that I wasn’t open to this possibility. Somehow though, I find it hard to believe that the mods/admins would request that a thread be started for the purposes of compiling a list of undesirables. Now before you get your shorts in a knot, I realize this probably isn’t what you meant.

From you in particular? No. Still it is clearly apparent that some believe their input is required.

Fucking childish.

Any of you who feel that certain posters are being jerks or committing other offenses, grow up and just email the mods/admins. We wouldn’t accept a thread dedicated to discussing which posters are ugly. Why accept this, especially when it isn’t even necessary.

Those of you who are so myopic that you are unable to see that I am NOT defending these “undesirables” can kiss my ass.

If I’m still failing to make my point clearly, if you ask I’ll try to clarify, otherwise CnoteChris said about what I was trying to say.
