So, I walk out of the house this morning, get in the truck, and notice blue paint running doen the windshield. I get out, and in so doing notice the side of the house. During the night, some asshole or assholes have fired a dozen or so blue paintballs into my truck and the side of my house! Little pieces of yellow paintball and blue paint everywhere. Then, when I get to the carwash to clean the truck, I discover that the paint doesn’t come cleanly off the side. It has etched itself into the finish! So my truck looks like a blue zebra.
I will discover who dod this…mark my words. Samual L. Jackson will have nothing on me when I extract my vengeance.
What a bunch of jackasses. I own several markers and know exactly how it feels to get hit - just because they have bright colors does not make 'em toys, you can do some actual damage with one. The fools buying them with the intention of using them other than at a paintball field think it’s less dangerous or damaging than a BB gun.
A few years ago some kids thought it’d be fun to ride around shooting pedestrians from their car, while videotaping the whole thing. Numbnuts got caught and part of the punishment imposed by the court was that they had to stand there motionless (with goggles, more than their victims had) and get shot repeatedly at close range. The video of that made its way onto the air.
Been there, got that done to me (BBs through the windshield in my case). In my case, they were done in by the fact that there is nothing that a group of teens is incapable of doing, except keeping their fool mouths shut. They were caught by the end of the week, and had to pay for replacing the 40 windshields they broke. Personally, I favored paying for the damage myself and pressing criminal charges against them, but eventually my parents talked me into settling. My mom and I both took the opportunity to get upgrades to our windshields, though, as I suspect many others did as well. Turned out to be a hell of an expensive joyride.
I downloaded a video recently of some idiots pulling this kind of stunt. One was leaning out the window as the car was driving, and ended up getting his head slammed against a parked car hard enough to drag him right out the window. I laugh like a maniac every time I see it.
Sorry, the site is incredibly non-worksafe, so no direct link.
However, at stileproject dot com, among a massive number of links for porn ranging from vanilla to real-life hentai and beyond, they have a regular section called “Holy Fucking Vids!” which are a mix of people doing really disgusting stuff, people doing really cool stuff and people doing really stupid stuff. I found this video there a few months back, so it should still be in their archives somewhere.
I play paintball occasionally. Everything is water based, so I have no idea how it could stick to your finish. The stuff will come out of cloth and wash off cardboard and unfinished sheet rock among other things. It should wipe off painted metal with a damp cloth. Nothing beyond warm water and a little soap should be needed.
This doesn’t excuse whoever did this to you. It’s just that I would have expected hail like damage if anything. I hope you contacted the police and had them gather some evidence.
This stuff sucks, my car got egged once. I was fit to be tied. I stayed up many nights trying to catch the little punks.
But I have to call bullshit on the part in bold in the above quote. I have seen the video of the stupid kids shooting pedestrians. Yes they did get cought and yes they did get convicted. But no fucking judge in his right mind could order them shot repeatedly at close range (with paint-balls or anything else) in the U.S. Next you will be saying that judges are ordering people caned. :smack:
A couple weeks ago, some guys drove down my parents’ street smashing windows on the nice/expensive cars parked on the street. They didn’t notice the neighbor’s son, back from is tour in Iraq, sitting on the front porch having a cigarette. He calmly wrote down the license number on their car and a description of them, and went inside and called the police.
That’s what I was thinking too. The company I work for (one of them) has a safety and supply store which also does a booming paintball supply business. It’s waterbased stuff. Food coloring and a waterbased gel vehicle for the coloring.
I’m wondering what they used to get it to stain like that.
