You know those penny stamping machines at random places? They stamp some saying or picture on a penny for fifty cents. Over the summer I was on a trip to Virginia with a few of my friends. We stopped at a rest stop in northern New Jersey. I was asleep. One of my friends gets back in the car and tosses me one of these pennys, for the longest time I forgot what it said, just that it wasn’t interesting to me at the time. I just found the thing in my coat pocket. It has “WORLD TRADE CENTER” printed on it with a picture of the towers. What should I do with the thing? I don’t want to sell it, that would be capitalizing off the disaster. It was just so strange…
Sell it?
Keep it.
Throw it in with that odd box of stuff you have - neat rocks, etc.
Then, when you’re old, and have grandchildren, and it’s a rainy weekend afternoon, pull out that box and show them what you have, and how you acquired it, and what it means.
You wouldn’t believe how much I know about my grandparents because of their ‘odd boxes’.
Again, I don’t want to gain money of this disaster.
I like chinque’s idea… any others?
Build a shrine and worship it as the work of the caring and loving God of illegal defacement of legal tender. It should be prayed before three times a day: Lunch, dinner, and after “The Simpsons”. Wait . . .
It doesn’t have an 11 on it does it??? Cool Pennies is 11 letters!!!

Just exactly how much do you think this penny is worth? I doubt you’d be profiting more than $.50 - $1 on it even if you did sell it.
Don’t lose sleep over it. Put it somewhere in the back of your closet and forget about it.
Maybe you could GIVE it to someone who wants it.
