Fred won’t be meeting Oscar Mayer anytime soon. I bet the 8 people that caught Fred will be telling this 5 hour capture story to family & friends for decades to come.

Had to be someones pet. Wild hogs are mean and dangerous.

Fred the pig caught after mischief rampage

City officials first became aware of Fred on 24 September when they received a call about a pig that was tearing up a person’s yard. But when animal officers arrived on the scene, they were not able to find him.

More calls came in the next day, this time about a pig in traffic. Then another call about a pig that was ruining someone’s landscaping.

He was then spotted again three days later on 27 September, in the early morning hours.

This time, Fred was in a position where he could be captured, Ms Allen said.

Still, it was no easy task.

Fred does not appear to be of the feral variety of pig.

He may be a wild man. But he looks domesticated to me.

Oh boy, I’m a little late to the party on this one. My, but my namesake does look contented lounging on that traffic island.

Mostly this reminds me of that TV show Animal Control.
