Once a chicken is processed it’s prudent to keep it on ice until ready to use.

True story: Colonel Harland Sanders was on “What’s My Line?” in 1963, the panel was not blindfolded, he was wearing his now-legendary accoutrements, and the panel couldn’t guess his profession. A modern viewer would recognize him by name alone, obviously, let alone by appearance.
