Sherwin-Williams was founded in 1885. The original “Cover the Earth” logo was first seen in 1893, and the company has been using a variant of this design ever since.
Care to guess how many times Coca-Cola, Pepsi, or McDonalds have changed THEIR logos, labeling, or marketing slogan since their founding?
I would say anything that lasts that long is probably pretty good.

I won’t deny the marketability of the logo, my displeasure is with the visual presentation. It looks like blood, or oil (in black and white). Not environmentally-friendly.
