Free museum admission

On September 30, 2006, for one day only, museums across the country will join the Smithsonian Institution in its long-standing tradition of offering free admission to visitors. For the first time, Museum Day is open to the general public as well as Smithsonian magazine’s subscribers. You can download and print a card good for two free admissions to participating museums here.

Here you can learn which museums in your area are participating.

Man, that is really cool. I’m going to ask my boss at the museum at which I work if he intends to participate. It sounds like a great program.

Huh. LACMA is not participating. Dorks.

Hey, thanks for the info! I just sent hubby an email suggesting that we should take the kids to the Maryland Science Museum (which has gotten rather pricey in recent years) on that day!
