(that is the same link I provided in my post…just saying)
Apologies. I guess I was trying to get it directly from Steam.
Ashes of the singularity free on humble.
Grand Theft Auto V is free on the Epic store, but you have to enable two-factor authentication to get it.
That’s a great game, the online has gone bonkers but just exploring the single player game world is very fun if you like very detailed open worlds. It’s a pretty decent (but smaller) representation of Los Angeles, and there is a lot of beautiful surrounding countryside with oceanfont, mountains, rivers, small towns, etc.
And it’s apparently crashed the store as well.
I played it on PS3 and really enjoyed it, but I don’t care to enable 2FA for a service I use only infrequently.
They probably have been spending too much time supporting people who had their accounts hacked. Luckily one of the two factors can be email, it isn’t requiring a phone number. The PC version is a large graphical upgrade over the PS3 version, and it offers first-person.
I see it crashed. Is this available for a week like everything else or just for the day? I don’t own it and should obviously claim this game.
Epic giveaways generally last for a week.
Good to know!
How is there anyone left on Earth who doesn’t have GTA V? The game has been in the top 10 in sales every week since 2012?
Just got this and came to post. Little too slow.
I’ve been collecting free games on my Epic acct ever since launch, but I never installed. GTA5 finally made me install. Wow, I’m seeing so many free games I’ve collected. Watch Dogs, Abzu, Observer, Farming Simulator 19, Stanley Parable, Just Cause 4, Batman- Arkham series. Cool.
Will I be lost if I haven’t played 1-4?
No, the numbered GTA games are standalone.
Me. Although I’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning (no, not GTA3. The beginning), a lack of time means I acquire games at a discount unless I’m really in to the series. And considering that the PC release came out 1 year after the console, and it was then “new,” I don’t think I’ve seen it listed for less than $30.
No. They really arent related except as a genre of game.
I’ve legit never played a single one. Oh, I’ve seen videos. Many. But never played one.
I’ve never even watched a video - seen a few commercials. Curious to see what it’s like.
It really is a pretty amazing feat of game design as an incredibly realized world that feels alive. Beautiful as well.
That said not every genre of game is for everyone but this certainly is one of the best of its kind.
