Why not see if your landlord has a forwarding address for the old tenant? That would be my first step; not calling Netflix who have about a billion subscribers.
I get what you’re saying. But, presumably, I triggered those flags when I called them. It’s pretty clear that something changed, because I didn’t get another DVD for 3 weeks.
And then whatever it was broke again.
Given that they don’t seem to be on top of things, I’m hesitant to bring any more attention to the problem, since I am a Netflix subscriber myself and I don’t really trust them anymore not to screw up with my membership as well.
I just get a lot of junk mail addressed to “Occupant”. What a swizz.
I got free cable service in an apartment I lived in long ago. I guess the cable company never cut off the service when the previous tenant left.
I got an extra two hours of pay on my first paycheck at the current job.
I called HR and had them fix it. I return things that don’t belong to me if I can.
A few months ago we started getting GQ magazine in the mail. Mrs. J. first assumed it was I had that subscribed to this scurrilous publication, until it was pointed out that it was her name on the address sticker. Then she called them in a state of pissoff to demand they stop sending it. Eventually they complied.
Rarely have I seen a magazine with less to offer. Even their “hot” women were skankiferous.
I don’t think you’re really in the wrong here, either. After all, how does the owner of the account not notice DVD’s are disappearing from her queue, and that the movies listed “at home” are not, indeed, at home? You’ve done your due diligence. If the owner of the account just put a temporary hold on the account rather than change the address - and not notice - that’s her fault. Netflix most likely expired the hold, renewed it temporarily when you called, and then it expired again.
I wonder if they’re sending the DVDs to both her address and iamthewalrus(:3=‘s address. I’ve had a subscription to Newsweek for years. Earlier this year, we moved and stayed with my parents for a couple months during the transition. I changed the subscription address from our old address, to my parents’ address, to our new address. Now, my mom gets a copy of Newsweek and I get a copy of Newsweek. I’ve called them three times and each time they do something in their computer and then proclaim the problem fixed. Then, the next week, my mom and I both get a copy of the magazine. I’ve given up.
