Yesterday Maddow mentioned that The President’s House in Philadelphia once had a exhibit about the slaves George had brought with him but the signs were removed by the Park Service. Hundreds of volunteers are now standing at the sire, a couple at a time, reading aloud the text of the removed signs.
Should have done that for the Pat Paulsen campaign.

Putting the two previous posts together, I think it’d be on-brand for them to both have a fake assassination, and to inadvertently publish it on the schedule that gets released last-minute onto the website.
Without making light of a subject as serious as a potential Presidential assassination or an attempt … and apropos of nothing whatsoever … the word “Kalshinikov” comes to mind.
Here’s a video taking a tour of the National Mall. If like me, you’ve never been to D.C., it may interest you. It’s a lot bigger than I thought. It looks like it will be very difficult to secure unless they are just locking down a relatively small portion of it.
Apparently that video was from about a year ago. It would be interesting to see the changes.

As if a UFC cage fight on White House grounds isn’t weird enough, the organizers are planning to have the fighters enter the ring with children. Who these children are, how old they are, whether they want to do it, etc. remains unknown.
Most parents won’t even let their smaller kids WATCH this event.
Just as with most celebrations of America’s birthday! Not suitable for children!!!
