Not in the Unites. It’s an island chain west of the Solomons, I think.
Oh, and about his speech…
Acts 12 21 On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. 22 They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” 23 Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
No joke, when we first got married there was a guy who lived across the hall who was a Viet Nam era Navy veteran. How do I know that? Well, if the Navy vet ball caps or tee shirts, or bumper sticker and plates on his car didn’t tip you off, he’d be happy to mention it passing conversation (e.g. walking out the door in the morning you might say a polite “good morning” to him as you passed and he’d respond with something like “yeah, reminds me of the sun rising off the deck of the USS Kitty Hawk in the morning…”)
Anywho, on Saturday morning you could always tell when he was cleaning his apartment because he’d crank up the stereo blasting Sousa marches or other patriotic music.
Yeah, I think that they’ve (probably correctly) decided that having only a couple of acts is worse than no acts. Better to call it off completely than to have something pathetic like Turning Point USA’s racist alternative to the Super Bowl halftime show that led to nothing but mockery.
At least this shitshow is entirely consistent; everything he’s involved with is poorly thought-out and is a fiasco, up to and including the war with Iran and his governance of the United States.
“Up With People” don’t do these things or are they defunct?
Surely some red state choral groups or bands would come if the {k}ing were to insist> Sarah Huckleberry of Arkansas would certainly send someone. Probably on her own(my) dime.
