Hi, @Smapti . Yeah, I saw a news clip of that on U-toob, some years ago.
Two high-school teams playing football. Suddenly a lightning strike! It didn’t look like your typical stereotype bolt – just the entire scene washed out suddenly for just a few picture frames. Then what looked like a pile of black smoldering ashes where a player had formerly stood. Then everyone all started running towards (what was left of) him.
But looks were apparently deceiving, because the reporter said they got him to a hospital and he survived. In what condition, was not mentioned.

I love watching fireworks (from afar) but that was just overkill. Holy mother of god. I feel bad for animals in the area. That must have been terrifying. And now a real storm is about to descend on them. At least if it rains, that could help with all the smoke.
