I admit to being totally biased - my boyfriend is a game designer at SOE and they have been slaving over this game for months. It launched a couple of days ago and I had a chance to check it out last night.

It’s a super-cute MMORPG targeted towards the younger set. The colors are bright, the characters are adorable (choice of human or pixie), quests are fun (just last night I found a Cooking Momma-type cooking quest, go-karts, and a Grammar quest - ha!). You can have a pet puppy and pet kitty to follow you around (and teach them tricks). There is a choice of professions - chef, miner, brawler etc, but you can be all the professions if you want. The map system is great, and it’s really easy to move around inside the game.

It’s completely free to play - check it out! No huge downloads or anything like that. I am Gloriana Frostglitter (dragged out my old EQ1 name).

What are redeem-a-codes and, more importantly, can I have some?

I played around with it some when it was in open beta. It’s definitely fun. I love that you can do everything on the same character. The limitations of some content to paid accounts is a little annoying. It’s not as polished as WoW. I reported some bugs, but nothing game-breaking. Mostly usability issues or poorly worded help text. The sheer variety of things you can do is amazing. It’s definitely worth taking a look at, if you want a nice low-stress time-killer game.

Looks like my beta character got wiped, though. That’s a little disappointing.

Thats standard for all games, letting beta chars last through release would be incredibly unfair.
