Freezing flour tortillas?

I should’ve mentioned this in my other thread, but in the same shopping trip I got the cheddar at, I got 20 flour tortillas when I had need of only eight (for the same reason - cheaper than any other package or brand with less).

Now, I could just make/eat a bunch of simple homemade quesadillas and solve both problems, but just in case, is there any way to freeze these things? I assume not, being both a bread product and thin, but I want to make sure. Thanks!

I’ve always stored tortillas in the freezer until they’re needed. They freeze just fine.

Yep, I freeze mine all the time. I put them in ziplock plastic bags, enough for the two of us in each bag, then just take a bag out as required. They defrost quite quickly and seem fine to me.

Yup, I always freeze 'em no problem. Thaw 30 seconds in a microwave (covered) or what I sometimes do is pile cold chilli or whatever on the frozen tortilla, then blast the whole thing in the microwave for 1 minute. Roll and eat.

Not sure about freezing cheese - then again there are plenty of frozen pizzas out there.

Sometimes I’ve had trouble with them sticking together when I take them out of the freezer, so I put baking paper between each tortilla. Then they are easy to get one at a time.

Freeze 'em all the time - both the store bought and the homemade ones.
