French speakers this time: Please help me post yet another card

Ok, we ticked off Spain fairly easily (thanks again, sailor). But wait! That’s not all yet.

So… what’s the rate for a postcard from Morocco to Europe?

“La Poste du Maroc”, Barid Al-Maghrib ought to know this… but their site is only available in French, of which I don’t have the foggiest notion. Babelfish’s web site translation tool does not work too well here either.

Can you help?

(Incidental find: Looking for sites of postal administrations worldwide? See here.)

From what I gleaned On this page, it appears to be a bit complicated. The rate for letters and postcards depends on the following factors:

  • The weight.
  • The destination.
  • The type of service (either “priority” or “low priority”)
  • Whether you ask for extras such as certificate of reception.

There’s a little applet that calculates the cost. I tried a letter to France weighing 50g sent “low priority” with no extras and it came up to 12.85 DH. A 25g letter costs 12.6 DH and a 100g one, 13.35 DH. You get the idea. If you want to try out the applet, click on “Calculer automatiquement le prix de vos envois.”

Hope this helps.

Indeed!

The “Calculer vos tarifs” button on the page you unearthed is exactly what I looked for.

Thank you!
