All melons, raspberries, blueberries, grapes - cold

Apples, oranges, tangerines, peaches, nectarines, plums, strawberries, cherries, pears, bananas (of course) - room temperature

The room temp fruits seem to have more flavor at that temp than if they’re cold. The cold fruits get kind of mushy if they’re not cold.

Tomatoes (botanically a fruit) taste better at room temperature.

I can’t think of any I prefer cold to room temp. Maybe watermelon.

Depends on the fruit, the weather, and the mood I’m in.

Personally, I generally like them all cold.

Berries, cherries, and grapes usually go into the freezer for consumption frozen, or at least very very cold. I eat them to cool off after working in the yard.

Room temperature. More flavor.

I do refrigerate them after a few days, but they never taste as good.

Yes. I think just about everything tastes better at some middling temperature. Even fruit that I keep in the fridge I take out and leave sitting around to warm up. I throw bean salad, potato salad and the like in a warm frying pan to take the chill off in summer when they have been refrigerated.

I remember that a friend of mine used to insist that the reason that white wine is served chilled is so that you don’t have to taste it.
