FRIEND needs help finding blogs

I have a friend who wants to explore a wide range of political blogs. I told him that you folks are the smartest people on the planet.

Where would you suggest he start looking?

P.S. Yes, there really is a friend involved. It’s not like Richie C. asking Mr. C. about a “friend’s” problem.

Anyone who has followed my career on SDMB knows that I am not at all shy about asking embarrassingly “yokelish” questions myself. - TBJ

He could try the one source of all past, present, and future information… Google.

Kinda scary how they have their hands in every bit of data in the world, but that’s another thread altogether

Another source might be the Wikipedia article on Political blogs.

YO, Bro!

I can tell that yer out there, I can hear you breathing.

What Reply suggested sounds like an excellent place to start.

Here’s what I got after Googling “all views represented” under "blogsearch.google… (After “blogs of all views” failed, at least with quotes.)

Told ya these folks were among the best and brightest all around the globe. Didn’t I place Wikipedia as a general source for you on your list last night? But this is more specific.

Man, it’s kinda’ scary how much these fine folks approach my own stratospheric quasi-godlike powers of intellect and imagination.

:frowning:

Now get up off the floor and face me! Your constant kneeling and groveling gets boring after a while. After all, you ARE kinda’ sorta’ bright yourself, you know!!!

Well, there’s Daily Kos on the left and Red State on the right, with Samizdata on the libertarian side. That should get him started.

Thanks, Quartz! They all look interesting, so I’ll be sure to check them out myself.

The Daou Report has a daily round-up from political blogs on both sides. (I think you have to sit through an ad to view if you’re not a Salon subscriber)

I’ll add Instapundit and Eschaton to Quartz’s excellent suggestions.

Most of these blogs have blogrolls, or a list of links to blogs they like on their pages. Your friend can visit them and the blogs they link to in posts.

Thanks to tremorviolet and rowrrbazzle as well!

Now we’re off to explore!
