What are some good political blogs?

From reading some of the posts here, I’ve found myself at various political blogs. Some are interesting and I’d like to read more…but I don’t know of any.

I’m looking for Republican and Democratic viewpoints of current news, but I don’t expect to find it in one blog. The more humorous, the better. Same for popularity/number of comments, and the maturity of those making them. And please don’t post any messageboards, I have an abundance of them.

But most importantly, please don’t post any fringe or ultra-paranoid bullshit. Thank you.

I read Andrew Sullivan, Overlawyered, Hit and Run, and Bartcop .

The first is a famously Kerry-coting gay Catholic Republican. The second watches the legal system, from a mostly conservative perspective. The third is a libertarian blog attached to Reason magazine. The fourth is a pretty loopy left-wing site (Bush is compared to Hitler a lot), but they seem to scoop most of the major stories relating to the Iraq War months before the mainstream media does.

Lastly, Joe Conason has a solid liberal blog at Salon, but it’s only available to subscribers.

Ahem.

Kerry-voting

www.instapundit.com is a good summary hub to other blogs.

I’ve always found The Wonkette to be amusing. A little on the left, but not fringe.

www.talkingpointsmemo.com is fantastic, in my opinion. Great analysis and stories that fly under the radar. Leans moderately left, and is thoroughly grounded in reality (you won’t find any “x is a nazi” arguments).

My daily reading list includes Talking Points Memo, Tapped, Political Animal , and if I have the energy, The Daily Howler.
