My friend was in a car accident this morning and also apparently had a kidney infection and is on meds for that. I’m not sure if the two are related are not. She was at the ER but is home and functioning enough to go to class and take an exam. Anyway, would it be bad to bring chocolate? Any other suggestions?
I’d hold off on the chocolate. If she’s taking appropriate antibiotics, she’ll be feeling better soon, but food won’t be attractive for a few days.
You might take your friend some cranberry juice for the moment. It’s a common home remedy for UTIs.
Bring whatever you think she’d like, or what she tells you she likes. There aren’t that many food restrictions for most commonly used antibiotics for UTIs.
As a sufferer of chronic kidney/urinary tract infections, I can say: there’s almost nothing I can’t eat during a flare-up. If your friend is a fan of cranberry juice or micro-brewed beer, either would be a good and fitting gift. But chocolate is good too. If she doesn’t feel like eating it right now, she’ll still appreciate it when she feels better!
