Not super famous, but I’ve friended some of the ESPN/Fox Sports radio hosts. Their facebook posts are about half about sports and the other half about random things.

I’m an American who is a fan of a certain Australian band, The Whitlams. When I listed them under music on FB, the lead singer, Tim Freedman, sent me a friend request. I accepted. This seems to be their MO, as they don’t seem to have a fan page.
The only two famous people I am friended with on FB are actual friends who just so happen to be famous. Everybody else is “liked”, not friended.
I’m friends with my homeschooling guru, who is fairly famous as these things go.

Hmm… I think the only famous person I friended is the one I actually know (and 2 of his brothers). The others I liked.
Bob Seger is a great one to like-he offers special deals on t shirts & CDs to people on his like page. Right before Christmas I got 4 CDs for $30…I *LOVE *Bob Seger!
I’m not friended to any one famous. Typo Knig is friended to an actor (I won’t name names; it’s not anyone especially well known) who went to the same high school. When Typo posted something about our anniversary on his own FB page, the actor (who has been married multiple times) said “you’re my hero!” ::

I’m Facebook friends with Stephen Tobolowsky. His page is a mix of friends and admirers. Since he’s not uber-famous, it’s sort of my own secret thrill. But since I’m an avid worshipper of his podcast, he’s a real, true celebrity to me … in addition to being one of the nicest human beings who has ever lived.

I have FB friends who vare fairly well-known musicians in their particular genre, but not generally household names. That’s about it I think. I have a RL friend who is a justice on the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, and I wish she had an FB page because it would be cool to have her on my friends list.
I am facebook friends with 1 former porn star, who I shared a social circle with in high school, and have been trying to figure out if i actually knew or not. I am friends on both her actual page (with her real name) and the one with her most commonly used “porn name”.
I am also facebook friends with a mover and shaker in the Indy Games community who is semi-famous. I think. It’s really kinda hard to tell, to be totally honest. With Indy game folks, you say his name or his projects and you get a response, usually, but not much outside that.
Is that famous?

I’ve got a few authors as FB friends, most of them SF or fantasy. They run the gamut from “I don’t know you but I like your work” to “Known for years and they’d recognize me if they saw me in a crowd.” Other than that, do the frontman and keyboardist of an industrial band count (both are RL friends, and the band is semi-famous in industrial circles)?
I don’t but I did look up a 70’s and early 80’s C or D list star because I had a crush on her when I was little. She is pretty old now and does not have that many Facebook friends but the ones that she does have are mostly very famous and legit. I was thinking about sending her a request to see what happens.
