Frigidaire Door Doesn't Always Close

I have a fairly new Frigidaire (bought last year) and sometimes the door will not close when swung shut, or even if I try to slam it shut. The linings are clean. I’ve been able to fix this in the past by taking items out of the door shelves and putting them in the main part of the frig. Just now, this didn’t do the trick. Finally, I put my finger along the bottom lining, just in case there was something there, and the door did shut. But I doubt if that was the reason. Does anyone have any ideas?

Possibly the gasket is slightly warped or otherwise defective.

This site suggests the following method for checking it

If its not a side by side, the hinges can usually be swithed from one side to the other. Makes it open on the left or right.

Short answer from me, check to see if the hinges are loose. If not, loosen them. Close the door for a good fit, perhaps do the paper test from astro, then re-thighten. It may just be mis-aligned.

It might mean that the refrigerator is not leveled.

There are usually adjustable screws on the feet of refreigerators that can be turned to properly level the base. If these aren’t adjusted right the door will not close properly.
