Fringe - 1/20

I hope I’m not the only one still watching this.

Sure, the science is just as iffy as ever (kill a giant mutated cold bacterium with some decongestant? Really, Walter?) but it’s a load of fun, and it feels like they’re starting to get to the heart of the big mystery.

Is it ill tempered?

It was a good episode. It was fun to see the main girl kick some butt.

They seemed mostly to be working on the romantic angle between the two leads. Though personally it seems rather forced, she doesn’t seem terribly interested in him.

Well it certainly seemed so! (Ya, I see what you did there…)

I’m still watching, only for Walterisms really. The rest of the show is marginally entertaining.

My prediction on a Big Story Plot Twist:

Her newly-introduced and never-before-mentioned sister is, in fact, one of the bad guys. Maybe she’s actually a clone of the sister (sadly, that’s not really a joke, given how this show works). Or is it the good guys that still kill people? Or bad guys posing as good guys! Or lizards wearing human skin over their own!!! IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!!

Ahem.

I’m starting to become afraid that this show will have an unending dragging out of major plot points in hope that it necessitates many future seasons. Sadly, the story suffers as the plot becomes ever more Gordian, and eventually, it will get canceled without any satisfactory resolution.

It’s still a fun enough ride.

I’m watching on recordings, but the show needs to pick it up or I won’t be.
