Pretty good episode. In another Fringe thread someone wondered if Nina had been replaced by a shape shifter. I guess we have our answer.
And I guess the Cortexiphan explaining how Olivia can have the memories of the other time-line’s Olivia makes some sense. As much sense as anything else in the show.
For next week I’m really worried about revealing who the Observers are and I’m wondering if this is being done due to the producers worrying about getting another season. I was less than impressed with their back-story of Sam Weiss and I hope they don’t do anything to ruin the mysteriousness and coolness factor of the Observers like they did to Weiss.
As a longtime Law & Order junkie, I couldn’t help but be reminded of that show’s episode involving an in vitro facility where the head dude was providing all of the “special sauce.” But that guy came off as an unapologetic dickbag, whereas his Fringe counterpart at least acknowledged how badly he’d messed up.
I thought it was a great episode.
I think the cortexafan is causing Olivia to crack the amber in the Amber-verse and revealing that we are in the right universe. The amber will keep shattering for as long as Peter stays here/there.
No, Olivia never got replaced and as for Nina… Either the Nina at Massive Dynamic is a shape shifter, or I read one blog where people were wondering if it was Nina from the other side.
Either way, my take on it is that “our” Nina has been kidnapped for a while and Oliva just got kidnapped.
