She added that she would have to leave her job at a bank if she were selected and that her brother has a history of drug use and has been in and out of jail over the years."
Other than the question of why any of the preceding was relevant enough to put in the story, I am also puzzled by the line about her job at the bank. Isn’t it highly illegal to pressure employees to leave or to fire them because of jury duty?
