The 13th Doctor is being unveiled by the BBC immediately after the Men’s Singles Final at Wimbledon, on Sunday 16th July. Because that’s the logical time and place to do so.
Of course it is; it will be quite convenient actually, since the Doctor will be needed to defeat the giant blancmanges from the planet Skyron in the galaxy of Andromeda and prevent their fiendish plot to win Wimbledon! (dun-dah!)
Unfortunately, the Doctor has currently been turned into a Scotsman, so we will be needing a new Doctor to defeat them straight away.

He’s great at playing exaggerated, bigger than life roles.

Of the names I recognize that have been mentioned, this is the best suggestion that I could get behind.
I don’t really want anyone who regularly appears on panel shows. It would be hard for me to see them as the Doctor and not their goofy self.
So no Ayoade, at least.
