From the SIICPR files...

That would be the “So Ironic It Came Pre-Rusted” files.

So a year ago, I opened a little office in a high-traffic zone, mainly to get the fabulous sign exposure that came with it. (I work from an attached studio.) It completely bombed; the few calls I got because of it were looking for completely wrong things. The place literally never made me a dime, nor generated any new business of any kind.

So the lease is up shortly and I am there packing and stacking to clear the place out next weekend… and I get a genuine, walk-in business customer and sale.

To replace my sign with one for the attorney/CPA duo in the front half of the building.

I sold my watch so I could buy my gf some silver combs for her beautiful hair.
She cut off her hair and sold it to a wigmaker so she could buy me a chain for my watch.
At least her hair grew back.

We had an online art print business for many years (still do), and ventured into a short-term lease to try out a retail store in the mall. The only month we made a profit was the final one.

This just made my day!

So… You make/sell signs, I guess?

No. General business creative, I do sign design as a client service.

Swept the place out today. A week in the Bahamas helped set the mood.

Might want to talk with William Sydney Porter about that.
