A friend of mine and I were talking, and somehow we were reminded of this fruit-flavored gel toothpaste we both had as children.
Does anyone remember this stuff?
It came in a package of four tubes, all different flavors, we’re thinking it was maybe cherry, blueberry, orange, and grape? The tubes were about four inches long, and they had a picture of the fruit, and the fruit had goofy faces.
Does anyone know what the brand was, what the flavors were, and if it’s still available anywhere?
I have a very dim memory of goofy-faced fruit on a tube. Beyond that, I dont’ know.
I do know that my own kids use something called “Sparkle Fun Gel Flavor” toothpaste. “Sparkle Fun Gel,” whatever that may be, apparently tastes something like Juicy Fruit gum.
I never used it as a child, but there is certainly strawberry & raspberry flavours available in the Uk for kids. What I don’t understand is why they don’t do these flavours in adult toothpaste too - there must be a lot of adults that don’t like peppermint.
I had to use TinyTot’s fruit flavored Dinosaur toothpaste the other day - blech. While technically my teeth were probably clean, it just didn’t feel right. It’s not fresh unless it’s minty fresh!
Although I do think they make anise-flavored toothpaste for adults. Double bleh.
