Frustrated Faulk

He walks out of a Bob Costas interview, apparently unable to take the questions about his winless Ram team.

He thinks he’s frustrated, what about all us poor saps who used the first overall draft pick to grab him during our Fantasy Football drafts?

That’s a very unfair, albeit brief picture of the situation. In the article, Costas mentioned that Faulk was pushed into doing the interview by team officials, therefore his being uncomforatbel is utterly understandable. Why not have Mike Martz in the hot seat instead?

In Faulk’s defense, it’s not as if he got surly and angry, cursed out Costas, and smashed furniture on his way out. He simply said, “I can’t do this,” and walked away.

No, I don’t think he handled the situation well, but he WAS in a tough spot. Costas asked him fair but difficult questions, and Faulk realized that, if he continued with the interview, he had only two choices: give a lot of curt “yes,” “no,” “I dunno” answers, or start slamming his teammates and coaches.

Under the circumstances, Faulk decided it was better to walk away than to say things that would cause more bad blood, dissension and problems on his team. And I can’t really attack him for that.
