Fuck Hamas

What is the virtue of a proportionate response?

Sorry for not being precise enough with my words, let me try again.

Enough people on both sides don’t want peace that attaining peace is impossible. It’s a shame these people can’t kill each other and get it over with.

That works for me.

Objection withdrawn. :smack:

BG, if Israel took option number two, and the Hamas controlled Palestine started launching rockets into Israel, what does Israel do?

You shouldn’t take any offence. It’s one of those things they have to say, in order to keep up the current policies. Don’t mean nothing by it.

It would allow **DT **to like you.

That is incorrect.

I have another two realistic alternatives -

  1. To continue the conflict for a few more decades until circumstances change enough for a renewed chance of peace.

or

  1. That the Palestinians cast aside their religious extremism and realize that the only way they’re ever have their own country is to accept that Israel is here to stay and that they’re not going to get everything they want.

It doesn’t play into the hands of your enemies, for one. And it kills fewer innocent people, assuming you care ( I see little evidence either side in this conflict does though ).

What a complete and unadulterated load of crap.

Well, less innocent people would die. Not that I know if you would consider that a virtue or if you accept that there’s such a thing as innocent Palestinians.

The second is not realistic; the first is not an alternative.

Of course it is. In fact, it’s the most likely alternative.

But doing nothing also plays into their hands. In fact, there’s nothing Israel can do or *not *do that Hamas can’t turn into a PR vctory. So why should we even care? They’ll believe what they want to believe, and there’s nothing anyone can do to change it.

Until the second happens there will be no peace. Period. Or to put it otherwise - we’re not interested in any “peace” that doesn’t include the second alternative.

Oh really? What about the fact that in order for Israel to kill the Hamas members that launch these rockets they invariably have to end up killing Palestinian civilians because Hamas places many of their launch locations in places where they know they will enable their own people to die in order to drum up more support for their cause?

This is Hamas’ MO…hold up the dead babies from the hospital that got destroyed because that’s where Hamas launched their rocket strike from and say “Look what the evil pig Jews have done again! We must destroy them all!”

Fuck Hamas.

Mudkicker

My comment was not aimed at Ireland, it wasn’t even aimed at America, strange as it may seem.

Ireland stayed out of WW2 quite legitimately, and I have no problem with that, American stayed out for its own reasons, quite legitimately.

My comment was aimed at those two fuckwits Bosda and Danblather
If you reread the latters comments you will find plenty in there more worthy of your offence.

It is those two fucking wankers who have smeared the right of freedom of speech with shit, a right that was earned the hardest way of all, its these two fucking shitbags who talk big, talk war, talk hard and generalise about an entire continent, including a snide comment about Ireland.

Please direct your ire at them, since they are the ones who have accused us, as a continent of being sympathisers with terrorists, with being anti-semitic, and generally making out that around 730 million (which is more than twice that of the USA) people have exactly the same view, a population which is more ethincaly diverse, speaks over a hundred differant languages, has numerous differant currnecies, and legal systems, and yet somehow we are all the same, we all are supporters of Hamas.

You have no argument with me, I have not made any criticism of you or yours.

This is way over my head.

Fair enough Casdave. Soz. You still want your dick sucked?

Meh. Practically my first time being rude on the Dope and I get it wrong. Clearly it does not suit me. Back to being my usual cloyingly nice self. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was proposing alternatives to the status quo; indefinite perpetuation of it is excluded by definition.

You can let them believe what they want to believe, and gradually talk them out of doing anything about it (by providing some alternative arrangement that in actual practice is acceptable to them). Ahmadinejad says Israel should be wiped off the map, but if I were Israeli I wouldn’t be scared of him.
