Fuck Hillary Clinton

She certainly does have the right to spout off about whatever hair is across her ass.

Some would say that as a senior member of the Democratic party she also has a RESPONSIBILITY to act in a manner that benefits the party.

Umm… if Geraldine Ferraro says something dumb or offensive, why does that make Hillary a bitch?

Mrs. Ferraro is no longer associated with the campaign…

I saw the interview as well. Ferraro sounded like a lunatic and tried her best not to let anyone else speak. It might’ve been funny if it weren’t for the double standard. Any time anyone said anything negative about precious Hillary, it was automatically sexist.

And not that I mind the venom to Hillary, but I also don’t see where she fits in to this. This seems to me like a much deserved Geraldine Ferraro rant.

Because she enables and encourages this shit. She plays up to it, whining and crying when it suits her and then strutting and gloating when people step back and defer to her. It’s so… passive-aggressive.

To me, this is interesting because it’s one of Clinton’s problems - I think a lot of voters don’t like her exactly because they think she’s the kind of woman who’d call them sexist just for not supporting her. And taken along with Clinton’s comments today (she repeatedly denounced sexism but said racism hasn’t been an issue in the primaries), I do wonder if she really is trying to give her supporters an excuse to stay home in November.

No. Any hope she has for the future depends on her getting out there and supporting BHO right up to the hilt. Any hint that she will sabotage the party for her own ambitions, and she will never, ever live it down. She can’t even afford the *false * impression of half-hearted support.

The line? On her way to Damascus, she took the left turn at Albequerque, and saw a vision of Obama. The scales have fallen from her eyes, and she never said any of those things anyway.

And under normal circumstances I’d agree with you; she’s certainly made more of an effort to play nice with him lately. But her comments and Ferraro’s coming on the same day do give me some pause.

Do you have any proof that it was done in this case, or is it just your dislike of her that drove you to this conclusion?

I agree Obama seems to have a little more class and good manners. However, where has Hillary “gloated” on Ferraro’s latest comments?

Just today, she accused the press of misogyny. Read Marley23’s link. That opens the door for nutcases like Geraldine to rant and rave.

You misread me. I didn’t say she gloated over those comments. I’m saying she gloats in general whenever people back off her, as she demands they do. She seizes the opportunity to remind us that we need her to carry the white people, and that Obama is unelectable (implication: 'cause he’s black). But when she’s attacked in any way, she’s all “Ack! The boys are ganging up on me!”

No you fuck her. I’m not gonna fuck her.

I really like this one.

I wanna throw out an idea.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize Clinton, in my opinion. I think she’s unethical, dishonest, divisive, and just plain jerkish.

There is one big illegitimate reason to criticize Clinton, in my opinion. It’s the fact that she’s a woman.

If your criticisms of Clinton include both legitimate reasons and the illegitimate reason, Clinton supporters will ONLY hear the illegitimate reason. They will ONLY hear you criticizing her because she’s a woman.

This is similar to criticizing Obama for being black. If you disagree with him on policies, but pepper your rant against his policies with references to fried chicken and monkeys, Obama supporters will be absolutely incapable of hearing your legitimate criticisms.

I therefore suggest that Obama supporters do NOT refrain from criticizing Clinton for the many legitimate reasons. We SHOULD be scrupulous about not peppering those criticisms with references to her gender or to gender stereotypes.

Every once in a while there are thread titles that, contrary to their possible intent, drive me nuts and I get wigged out every time I see them.

The “How often do you think of food” thread, when I’m supposed to be on a diet. Big fucking help there, guys. I wasn’t thinking about food until I hit that page…

And then there’s this thread.

It’s put me completely off masturbation and porn. :frowning:

I’m blaming Liberal if I have nightmares related to this.

As an example of my feeling that the Press does give her too much of a free ride, I have to ask why the issue of her sham marriage has never been raised. Would Bill live in the White House with her? Or would he continue to live elsewhere, as he has for the last 8 years? Are we going to have scandals when he’s busted with other women? Why hasn’t the press busted him so far?

I had no idea where she was going with this. Was she talking about racism? If so, why did she specify women? Was she talking about sexism? If so, why did she specify white voters?

WTF?

Isn’t there some sort of legal thingy where you can sue somebody for damages if your spousal unit is rendered non boinkus? I mean, I don’t see why that must necessarily involve another person…

Why vote for the lesser of two evils?

Clinton is turning this into the Democratic version of the 1964 Republican primaries with Hillary standing in for AuH[sub]2[/sub]O. This of course worked out fantastically for the Republicans, if by fantastically one means that they were sidelined for another four years. Or maybe she’s trying to George Wallace the whole electoral process.

Yes, it is her right, but as a once-respected semi-icon and now, superdelegate in the Democratic Party, she should know better.

Fine, if she disagrees with his policies and says so; fine, if she wants make up a story about misogyny out of whole cloth, however deluded it is. However, for a party that has to come together in real unity real soon, she could have kept the not voting for him if he’s nominated to herself.

If she continues in this vein, I hope there’s a way to strip her of her superdelegate status.

Did you even read the post you quoted from LHOD?

What’s your proof it’s a sham marriage?

I mean prove it. And “everybody knows it is” is not proof.

You Democrats. Always ready to eat your own. On both sides.

My party is at a particularly low ebb right now, and for plenty of good reasons, but even with all of that, I can’t think of any recent vice-presidential nominees who have turned into party outcasts and defectors. And you guys have two.

Quite a few registered Democrats have gone on record as stating they will vote McCain if Obama is the Nom. I will. Why is it so bad for someone to use their vote as they please?
