I second the Craig’s list recommendation. You’d be amazed at what people will take if it says “Free”. Used motor oil and old appliances, tires, everything. There are currently 22 listings for free sand in my local Craigslist.

One day, I decided to make my own crawdads, but I didn’t put any water in the pan. It was just like making popcorn.
