Also, their shitty attempts to ape the success of Apple in the integrated device market gargle sweaty orangutan balls four at a time.

Honestly, we’re collectively sorry that you’ve lost hard earned money in this ordeal. But other than that, there’s this evil part of human nature that, well, gets pleasure out of someone stumbling through something that came easy to us when we did it. It’s like an obstacle course. Once you clear the rope swing over the water hazard, you turn around and secretly take pleasure in those who slip off the rope and splash in the water. Of course, I never do that.

I agree completely. Their “Windows Genuine Disadvantage” bullshit is one step away from ransomware. Years ago, I had to reinstall my copy of Windows XP, on the only computer I’ve used it on. Windows decided that it would be funny to reject my perfectly valid, hologramed activation code. I called Microsoft and explained the situation, and gave them my code. They said:
Now, mind you, this was years and years before the April 2014 “official” end of Windows XP support, and I’m pretty sure I purchased my Asus Eee PC with Windows XP after this bullshit. So they were still selling Windows XP, just apparently refusing to support the paying customers who got screwed over by their shitty copy-protection.
Needless to say, I was absolutely furious. Trying to charge me $60 to reinstall my perfectly valid license. Fucking ridiculous. Luckily, I had a backup copy of the Windows XP CD which accepted the activation code.
So yes, fuck Microsoft and their activation bullshit! Fuck them with a backwards porcupine. Fuck them all night long.
The disk space requirement for the new Fallout 4 is 28 gigs which is about the size of the entire HD of my last windows XP machine. I am sure that windows 10 is to windows XP like a Ferrari is to an Oldsmobile circa 1968.
All I wanted was to have Excel on my Mac. No other Office apps, just Excel. After talking with a guy from India for three hours, I finally gave up trying to have it activated. Now they’re going to bill me every fucking year, for something I can’t even use. Just let them try.
No more ANYTHING from Microsoft.

Of course Microsoft’s “refund department” (pretty sure this is a fictional department) did not call me yesterday.
