Fuck Romney for politicizing the events in Egypt and Libya

And Obama hasn’t? Give us a break.

Cite?

I’m not sure what you mean. Romney used the event to score a political cheapshot against the President. Sure, Obama’s been talking about this, denouncing it, etc…if that’s what you want to call “politicizing”, since, um, Obama is in actuality a politician and all…

Not seeing the similarity. Obama is talking calmly and logically. Romney essentially stuck a microphone near his ass and let it rip.

Yeah, most of it is, but at the very end, and this takes maybe 2 or 3 seconds of the whole clip, Obama does bring up the deaths of 9 servicemen in Afghanistan.

Yeah, give us a for-instance of what you mean, so we can see how Obama has been pulling the wool over our eyes, turning us into Obamabots who call him ‘The One.’ You can show us the truth, and lead us out of our illusions.

I know the fast paced, complex world of teaching children to hit other people with their feet is all about gut intuition and decisive finger-wagging, but here among the hoi polloi we generally need cites when one asserts something that isn’t self-evident.

Why is Obama politicizing the deaths of our service members?

nm

Is tu quoque officially a GOP plank this year? Or is it still just informal?

Careful. Says in Scripture, the truth will make you freak.

They couldn’t get it through the Furrin Words Translation Committee in time for the formal adoption.

Let’s be clear about something, Romney is politicizing the deaths based on a lie.

Its the neo-cons. Romney has a bunch of them in his inner circle. They are starving for some public reassurance, something that will prove them right. They heard what they expected to hear, appeasement in the face of imminent threat, America groveling before the Muslim radicals.

I think the reason they ran with it was twofold: one, they were sure it was true, it had to be true, it fit perfectly with their views. Second, they wanted it to be Romney who told America the truth, get out there first, make it like revealing a secret shame.

Hit first, and hit hard! That’s how those people think. They were sure they had the goods, and had to act fast to get the most bang out of it. Their ammunition belt turned into suicide vest.

Does he gets the facts wrong?

Is it just me, or does it sound like that clip was edited right in the middle of a sentence? Makes me wonder what he was about to say, and why the person who edited and posted that clip doesn’t want us to hear it.

Maybe I’m splitting hairs here, but it also strikes me that there’s a difference talking about military casualties in the prosecution of a war, and civilian deaths in an unprovoked attack in a country with which we’re at peace. I also wonder how much time passed between the attack, and the interview - much of the criticism here is that Romney went on the offensive before the bodies were cold.

And then, of course, there’s the whole “not deliberately lying about what happened,” angle mentioned by Gangster Octopus.

Fuck Romney for politicizing events?

You mean like Obama used troop deaths to criticize Bush in 2008?

You sir, are a perfect example of conservative intellect in action.

Oxymoron.

Looks like the RNC talking points got out though - or maybe Rush mentioned that YouTube today?

It does seem interesting how quickly this went from “Obama = weak” to “Romney = no worse than Obama in 2008”.
