Hard to argue with the sentiment. It’s a national organization that puts its own prestige, political power, and funding above the lives of its constituency.
Which isn’t that big a deal… I often think the same thing about Congress… but when you start blaming the victims of a shooting because if they’d had their OWN guns, they wouldna got SHOT, you’ve officially fallen lower than toecheese in my book.
Just so I dont  all the time this is a multifaceted problem. For example, recent research iirc has shown that violent video games can lead to real life in violence prone people. Our mental health infrastructure is non-existant. We arent vigilant as communities for people who might be at risk of violence. And many other factors…
And the killer is the only one who is responsible for the crimes. Everyone, of all persuasions, are sickened by these acts. Please, no scapegoating. That leads to more violence.
Maybe so but please explain how the NRA is responsible for something that we know nothing about? If this christian angle is accurate might not athiests be to blame in this moronic series of blame games? Lets try to figure out why he killed first.
Fuck the NRA. Doesn’t matter why this guy did what he did. The NRA is a domestic terrorist organization and needs to be suppressed with extreme prejudice.
I don’t think that the NRA is a “terrorist” organization in any way.
But I still hate them, because they treat even the most moderate gun safety legislation as if it were seizing guns from private homes. They fought, for instance, against propellant taggant laws, which would be useful in the forensic identification of gun criminals.
I also hate right-wing hate radio, which has already begun lying about what Obama said in his speech. “Now he’s attacking gun owners.” Nothing he said in his speech is an attack on gun owners. But the liars are gonna lie.
