Fuck the NRA

LMAO

I immediately got this mental image of some pissed off old hippie with a latte and rolled up New York Times attempting to “suppress” an NRA fellow with a CCW.

Me thinks it will not end up how you think it’s gonna end up, bub…

Its not that the NRA supports gun ownership, its that they have managed to completely shutdown any rational debate over gun violence with strawmen arguments and way more influence than they actually merit. Now even mentioning gun violence (outside of the context of black urban youth) is taboo and means your only intention is to take away all guns. The organization, its members, and its puppets in Congress need to fucking go pound sand.

How much of their influence is due to their shrewd strategizing and how much is due to the fact that every politician knows that everyone of their member is armed and that some of them ain’t wrapped too tight?

Proposal: Congress grows a pair and requires that every firearm in the United States have 95% of its surface area be a bright neon pink. All after-market accessories must comply with this law as well. Give everybody 1 year to get them colored, then possession of one not compliant gets you a $10,000 fine, confiscation of weapons and a permanent ban on gun possession. Let’s see how long the ammosexuals fetishize their guns when they look like something from the Mary Kay catalog.

Or we could make guns illegal so no one would have any.
Like drugs…
:smack:

Uh oh, do they love guns more then they hate them there queerosexuals?

Pink is so…Maricopa.

Bright bilious day-glo lime yellow.

You know, this idea would actually hold water if the gun violence problem was only about 30 years old.

Gotta blame gun violence on something! It couldn’t possibly be fucked up morons given easy access to guns? Could it?

Just to go with the theme of the thread, we should bomb Iraq.

Like that quote about libertarians, I’d have a lot more respect for anti-gun law advocates if they’d just say, “Yeah, our way will lead to more gun violence and deaths, especially mass shootings, but that’s the price we have to pay for upholding the Constitution and keeping the government in check.”

What exactly do you think blaming the victim is?

I agree. I prefer the GOA.

Soooo…

What your saying is that they’re an organization dedicated to impeding political and societal change through implied threats of violence?

Sounds kinda terroristy to me. And distinctly unamerican.

I agree with him and I joined 2001. My opinion is ten years more valid than yours.

I think Crafter Man has said as much. If I recall correctly (and he can correct me if I’m wrong here, he’s obviously aware of this thread) he doesn’t care about the tyranny aspect, he just likes guns and is sees people dying due to weak gun laws as a fair trade. It stuck in my mind as it was such a change from the usual gun rights bullshit you get from the likes of Lumpy and Dumari Abujani or whatever that fool’s handle is.

Do you have a cite for this?

“In violence prone people”. Yes, I suppose its true, in violence prone people. So might My Little Pony.

Certainly preferable. I go with DU, myself.
