If you aren’t familiar with the webcomic xkcd, then you’re really missing out. Fantastically intelligent. I’ve often wondered how long it would take the comic’s creator, Randall Munroe, to find the SDMB. Seems like it’d be right up his alley – cite.

But now some superasshat conspiracy theorist has already registered with the username xkcd and forever removed that user name from circulation.

Fuck you!

For example, compare this (SDMB post) to this (xkcd comic).

It’d be like someone joining with the name Weird Al Yankovic and then starting a holocaust denial thread.

The comic is not only intelligent, but shows an honest love and appreciation of life in a way you don’t often see from geeks online.

Set that next to some of the user’s rants, and that left a sour taste in my mouth.

But, you know, he’s banned now. So, whatever.
