Fuck YOU America, Fuck you.

Oh, okay. You meant “Fuck YOU” in a good way.

…and I would like to continue the good will by the following:

Hey Satz, Fuck You!

In fact I’ll even increase the loving feeling by telling you, Satz, to go fuck yourself.

Yep, the love is just flowing:D

Bubba
I’ve been sending links from this thread to my buddies in BC. I think I have a doper membership drive going

I haven’t read the whole thread through yet but I thought I’d answer Flymaster.

If the cow did come from Alberta, okay it did. That’s possible. It’s the fact that the US is pretty much saying it did without knowledge that it did. They are still waiting for DNA tests to come back (not till next week) to know for certain because the US records aren’t as good as Canadian ones and it may not have come from here.

If it turns out it didn’t come from here then our beef industry just took a blow for the US that it didn’t need to. That’s the problem I have. Waiting a week to be certain before making statements that could be wrong doesn’t seem like a major problem to me.

Dewey defeats Truman?

Okay and having read this through… Cheeky you need to calm down. You certainly aren’t helping things.

Like I said in just my last post if it came from here okay. That happens. We are already doing pretty damn good at catching this early and not letting it get into the food chain. You guys* need a little tweaking on that.

It’s the news… I’ve been trying to watch and read and keep up on what’s being said from both sides of the border. It does boil down to Alberta beef bad and is really hurting some people even more when it may not have to.

I personally just want to know what’s going on and am rather more concerned about you guys having let it get into the chain. If the cow did come from here, when it left it probably wasn’t showing symptoms considering the incubation period but there is a good chance it was when it went to the plant. That’s where it should have been caught.

We’ll just have to see where all this leads to is all.

*You guys being the people regulating the beef industry and watching for this stuff

Say what you will about any Canadian inferiority complex, they are obviously **WAY **ahead of us in complete and total shit-for-brains flaming gaping dickheads.

According to Canadian records, the cow came from Canada. This is pending final verification using DNA testing.

http://www.usda.gov/news/releases/2003/12/0448.htm

“USDA continues to work with the Canadian officials to verify traceback of the index animal. *Records obtained from the owner correspond with Canada’s records *indicating that this animal was approximately 6-1/2 years old at the time of slaughter. USDA is working with Canada to conduct DNA testing to verify that the correct animal has been identified.” (Italics mine)

So it’s a Canadian cow. Really, who cares? It’s everybody’s problem. I still haven’t seen a single case of finger-pointing at Canada. Have our friends to the North developed cabin fever this early in the winter? Is paranoia a side effect of snow-blindness?

I must protest this vile slander of my fair home state of Washington. Just because the cow was found in Washington, on a Washington farm owned by a Washington rancher, being fed Washington grass and lazing around in a Washington feedlot, there is no reason to jump the gun and leap to the conclusion that this cow had anything to do with Washington state. Can’t we wait until we have more information before the irresponsible press throws out information that might harm the beef industry of my beloved state?

I am positive that when all is said and done, it will be discovered that this cow was in Idaho the whole time. Diseased fuckers. Thats Idaho, not Washington. These aren’t the droids you’re looking for. You can move along.

Why am I positive? Because if the cow was from Washington, that would be bad for Washington ranchers and Washington state’s economy. Since that would be a bad thing, I am postive that the Washington state angle is a red herring, introduced merely to slander this great state and motivated only by hatred and greed. Did you know that we grow apples here? And Microsoft has its headquarters here? We’re not all diseased cow carcasses! We are really very important. Look at us, dammit! Remember, Washington GOOD, Idaho BAD.

Oh, and you Canadians? As an American, I believe that since CheekyMonkey acts the way she does, all Candadians act the same way. Because all Americans generalize all the time. I hold you personally responsible for everything any Canadian ever says.

Unclefuckers.

You were on a roll until you threw in that little gem.

Or it could be that Cheeky meant the first one.

Exactly. Preliminary. Why announce this to the world until they’re sure?

That’s my point. The press is going to say the cow came from Canada, and if they don’t, that’s the impression that they’re going to get. The people running this investigation must know this. Why are we being brought into it publicly this early? We’re not upset that you’re looking for links with Canada. We’re upset that you’re making it so public at a premature stage.

Cute. Marginalize my opinion by characterizing my objections as those of a raving lunatic. Never mind that US beef producers want to ban the import of Canadian cattle(fourth paragraph from the bottom)

Libertarian: Yeah Kinda.
BubbaDog: So we shall assume you do work for the industry?

Satz, preliminary evidence in an investigation is not a sacred cow. People chatter. What can I say. Oh and I wasn’t trying to marginalize your point, I was just trying to make mine in an admitedly over the top fashion. The cattle indutry is acting in its own self interest, they are already going to take it on the chin by losing most of their Asian market.

Sorry, that post in response to Rysto.

Um Phizer, an apology may be in order. Not for your tirade against Americans, I’m sure you meant that with all of your little brain, but to Canadians. I may be just an ignorant American, but I think you just called lots of them “gutless.” Since you speak on behalf of all the world’s Australians, the insult is particularly sharp.

Here’s a cute little story that may make CheeckyMonkey,Satz and other idiots kind of choke. As an American I get kind of used to hearing my country and myself berated for every kind of transgression imaginable, but one time a guy from Sweden threw me a curve. I was standing around doing pretty much nothing and he was talking to someone else when he started bad-mouthing Canada. He remebered I was there and he tried to sort of save himself by saying “I’m sorry I know you’re from Canada, but I really hate Canadians.” I got slammed for being Canadian! I had mentioned one time that I had been in Canada so, I guess he made the assumption I was from Canada. He had some problem with Canadians stemming from his experiences with Canadian ex-pats in Florida or some other such nonsense. All I could do was laugh. Normally, it’s not so fun being on the business end of someone’s bigotry.

Nope, I just like to argue with Canadians. :stuck_out_tongue:

Clearly, we must immediately begin taking steps to narrow the dickhead gap.

There was another WW2? Conclusive evidence, I think, that American education is truly deficient.

I hope they called it WW2^2 or something cool like that.

Well, the US did miss the first three years of WW1 and Canada was in it almost from the beginning.
