Yeah, if you are actually noticing your veins standing out or a different color than they are normally, I’d see a doc pronto.
On a slightly lighter note:

Since the invention of the boob, there have been five pair that have been rated the most painful, the most aching. These two left them all behind.

Called the doc, she said to come in next week and that it doesn’t sound like a problem. Darkened, more pronounced veins, she said, are common in women preparing for lactation and also premenstrual syndrome.
She sounded very non-plussed, said it’s odd…may be a miscarriage or a wacky menstrual cycle. They hurt a little less today…but still a bit tender.
When I was about one week pregnant, both times, I had pronounced blue veins, aching breasts and very tender nipples. It hurt most to sleep on my stomach and walking up the stairs was also painful.
Even with today’s wonderous pregnancy tests, if you are just a bit pregnant (I know you either are or your aren’t from a grammatical standpoint) the test can still say “no” but you could still be PREGGERS! When I got pregnant (lost it though ) my boobs hurt like HELL. I could have happily removed them despite their attractiveness. It was clue number one that I might be…
So go to your doc and while you’re there get a blood test just in case…
And might I recommend a nice sports bra (soft and comyfy w/ no uniboob–i.e., not fit for actual sports) to wear around the house and maybe even for sleeping until the pain subsides–helps keep them from jostling–I know ya got big uns like me so I can guess how they feel!
I don’t want to give you false hope, I just know that my pregnancy test said nope, I got what I thought was my period, but my boobs hurt…then another test and there were two lines…
BTW, I don’t know how Mr. Jar is, he seems very kind and considerate, but for some reason, the more your boobs hurt, the more interesting your SO/husband will find them…at least in my experience…
I believe that a false negative is much more likely than a false positive in a home pregancy test. Don’t they even say on the box that if you think you’re pregnant but the test comes up negative you should go to a doctor anyway? You might want to see one.
