Fuck You Mike

Hi.

May I ask what happens if you visit New York City, receive a parking ticket, and then just don’t pay it? I have a ticket that’s a few months old, and they’ve started sending me threatening mail, but I think they’re fulla shit. What are they going to do to me? I suppose I could get into trouble if I ever go back to New York City and get stopped (by The Man!) but otherwise, what evil could possibly befall me if I just don’t pay this thing?

The threatening letter said of the citation “We will make this public information and credit bureaus can use it at their discretion!” Personally, I’ve never heard of an unpaid parking ticket showing up on somebody’s credit report. Am I wrong?

Save the Empire!

I say “Bring back Donald Manes”. Oh, right. He’s Dead.

Bloomberg, our billionaire mayor who could care less about us.

The pansy-ass Iowa DOT revoked my license for not paying for a speeding ticket in Minnesota, eh.

That’s a speeding ticket, though, rather than a parking one, and it was a state to state thing, rather than a city, and… where was I again?

I’m sure there was someone named “mike” in the process you could apply the title of the to. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s eerie, but I knew this thread would be about Hizzoner before I even opened it. Maybe it was the New Yorkish title.

I got a $15 parking ticket in my aunt’s hometown for parking on a street with no signs whatsoever that said ‘No Parking’.

This is a town of 300 people, and a street that sees maybe three cars a day.

When I called the local yokel police department (which they share with another similarly sized town) and asked them why I had gotten a parking ticket, they told me that there is no street parking on that street. I asked if they had any signs to that effect, because I saw none and I was informed ‘Oh they rusted and we took them down, but it’s still a no parking zone.’

Nice racket they have going on.

The best part of the racket, catsix, is the hoops they can make you go through to contest the $15 ticket. I tried once to dispute a parking ticket at a nearby town, when I was unemployed.

wasn’t worth my time
