Just finished watch IOUSA and I can’t tell you how enraged I am about all of this.

I have been brooding on this shit for a while now, but I figured it was high time to give a hearty “fuck you” to all of you ridiculous fucking inept assholes who have no clue about how to run a fucking country.

Younger Republicans are going to pay for the mistakes of their leaders, but the older Republicans deserve the most ire. Fuck you guys for being so goddamned greedy and cutting taxes when the Federal deficit was skyrocketing. Yes, you couldn’t fucking STAND to be only a small bit poorer while shoring up our financials for the coming generations could you? You had to continue to cut taxes (for the rich mind you) when we could have been paying that shit off.

The Bush years have been a complete disaster on every front. That man deserves worse than an eternity in Hell for the long-term damage he’s done to our country. And you enabling shit-for-brains helped him along and nodded your fat fucking faces each time someone said that we don’t need to worry about deficits, ridiculed science, or anyone trying to talk some sense in to your mouth-breathing brains.

Now it’s time for responsibility. How fucking convenient for my generation, who is likely going to be enslaved by our enormous debt. I seriously begin to wonder how long this system can last. Assuming that we get our economy out of the shitter, we’ll have to maintain abnormally high taxes for DECADES. How the fuck could you dipshits have been so STUPID?

If it’s not too late, all I hope is that we finally realize in the end that we have fucking ADULTS in charge from now on. You can’t borrow money and not pay it back, for example. Even clever children know that shit.

The economy was doing okay, so Bush in his infinite wisdom decided to give the rest of the money to the people. Did we save up for a rainy day? Oh fuck no! Why would we do that? The government is evil. Didn’t you know that? So now when we actually need some savings, we are fucked and need to borrow even more to dig ourselves out of this hole.

Look get this through your thick, stupid skulls – there is no free lunch. We need government. The free market can’t solve every problem. Are we done with your bullshit voodoo economics yet? I surely hope so, and that we can get some goddamned adults in charge once again and fix things if it is even possible anymore. Quit fucking with our future with your risky, retarded economic theories. How about we start choosing ones that fucking work? Stop our stupid costly wars because you want to try out some sort of bullshit geopolitical theory. On that topic I have a clue for you cretins. Guess what, some people actually do hate freedom. In some places where stability is difficult to come by, freedom is seen as a liability because it allows people to buck convention and disturb order. What people want is ORDER, not freedom. Your assumption that people yearn to be free is fucking WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Order comes before freedom, any day. So you shouldn’t act so fucking surprised when Iraqis have different ideas on what to do with their newfound freedom.

I can’t even explain how livid I am at you assholes for fucking up our future. You baby boomer Republicans (especially formerly liberal ones) deserve an extra dose of ire seeing as how you weren’t satisfied with changing all of the rules to favor you once you took charge of the system. That wasn’t enough, no, you had to make the government as inept as possible in the meantime. So how exactly am I supposed to pay for it with record low wages and record debt-levels? Yes you have left us with a fine nation, you pieces of dog shit.

All your party does is sell fucking pipe-dreams to ignorant cretins like “Joe the Plumber” who votes Republican because he’s too stupid to realize he’d otherwise be going nowhere in life. Why are you blaming the Republicans? Bush didn’t act alone to pass spending bills - he worked with congress. Democrats took the majority in congress in 2006. Did the economy get any better since Republicans lost their majority? No, the economy swan-dived into a death spiral. And it’s the Democrats who are again lobbying for new stimulus packages.

The economic crisis had nothing to do with pure deregulation. The problem is that the government, trying to centrally control the economy, was requiring that banks issue credit to people that have no ability to repay the loans, while at the same time loosening controls on how they do business. This is not the free market. I repeat, this is not the free market. This is the worst kind of bastardized combination of socialism and the free market that gets neither right. But the left, in the best PR move since the New Deal, has managed to cast this as a failure of the free market. I agree that it’s a failure of Bush and the “compassionate conservatives” (read socialist statists), but that doesn’t include all Republicans, and definitely not all free marketeers.

And calm the f*ck down. Panicking isn’t going to solve anything. This is *not *the end of the world.

It has everything to do with regulation, or lack thereof. Your post seems to indicate that you don’t fully grasp the causes of the worldwide economic meltdown.

The free market that caused these problems is not mortgage market. It is the derivatives market.

What do you suggest we fucking do now then? All economists agree that we have to spend our way out, there’s nothing left to try. What would you rather do? Would you have us do nothing and then slide further and further off the edge? Only now instead of being an extra trillion or so in debt, we are going to be 10 trillion in debt. That is essentially the US GDP.

I don’t take out a credit card an not expect to pay it. How the fuck can government be expected to do so? I’m just sick of those assholes cutting taxes and running up debts, which will eventually be paid by my fucking generation after we are rid of you irresponsible assholes.

Might I just point out the Federal Reserve Chairman that thought economic markets could regulate themselves was Alan Greenspan. I’ll let the posters here draw their own conclusions from that.

It was the Repubs who said deficits don’t matter. They most certainly do. It was the repubs who pleased their rich leadership by greasing the skids to gut the middle class,destroying unions and shipping our manufacturing base abroad. It was the repubs who claimed the market was self regulating and could not harm us. It was the repubs who insisted that the rich should have tax cuts that would benefit us all when history repeatedly showed it was not true. It was the repubs who started a war and for the first time in history refused to fund it.
They have taken the national debt to unheard of levels and it can not be fixed. The fixes are too extreme for the repubs to tolerate.

To be fair, many of the responsible Republicans that I know are pretty pissed off how Bush handled the economy in the past 8 years. We wouldn’t be in nearly the dire situation we are now if he hadn’t spent like a drunken sailor.

An interesting thing happened to the fiscal Republicans the last few cycles. They’ve been ousted by a group of religious right pandering fiscally irresponsible yahoos that only now, when a President from an opposing party is coming into power, are suddenly making an act of fiscal responsibility. The drunken whores are now trying to convince us of their wholesome and sober virginity.

Both parties did this. Over decades. Happily, and with the consent of the governed. And part of the way it was done was because we became more invested in partisanship than in facts and solutions. Such as looking at the national debt and seeing blame for only Bush.

Please cite evidence of Democrats pushing for tax cuts in the middle of a war. I’d love to see what you come up with. I don’t see how I’ve been part of the problem since I’ve been opposed to tax-cuts / needless wars / bullshit spending all my life.

Look you can say it’s a “bipartisan problem” all you fucking want, but Bill Clinton made efforts to pay down the deficit, while Bush doubled it. They quoted Cheney as saying that deficit “doesn’t matter.” It was also the stated reason why the Treasury Secretary at the time was forced out. So, Bush with his crackpot ideas decides he knows what’s best for the country over eggheads, instead of listening and trying to pay down the debt like a responsible person would. What else am I missing? Look this has always been a problem, But I’ll give Bush the blame for half of it. The pussy Democrats can get a share of the blame too, but whose fucking idea was it to cut taxes with nowhere to fucking fund our programs? I think it’s pretty clear.

And the great thing they did for my generation (those 30 and under) is that they are so fucking incompetent many of them are going to have difficulties retiring even when they have seen one of the greatest bull markets in stock market history during the 80s and 90s, have SS, and have pensions. All of which my generation will likely have none of (at least with reduced SS benefits) all the while we are almost assuredly going to have higher taxes because they still racked up enormous debt. They really should be ashamed.

Obama is proposing to add a trillion dollars to the debt in one fell swoop. Congress looks set to acquiesce. They’re all republicans, right?
