Ok, fine. My father was in the Marines for 4 years and didn’t go to war or kill anyone. There are thousands upon thousands of people in our armed forces who do not personally act to kill anybody.
OTOH, every single county clerk who has the responsibility to issue marriage licenses is going to be asked to issue SSM licenses. Every. fucking. one. of. them.

She’s got deputies (who she’s refused to let issue licenses because the rubber stamp they use has her name on it). Last news I read said that the judge gave them until 1:45 pm (their time) to meet with the defense lawyers before the hearing continues. Presumably, the deputies either A) won’t be as retarded as the clerk or B) will be tossed in jail too.

Arrest his ass, too. If we need to arrest the entire office, go right ahead! But it seems like at least some of them think she’s cray-cray.

Fucking Kentucky, man. Before this I didn’t particularly think of Kentucky one way or another. I thought our stupidest and craziest people were in Mississippi and Texas. Apparently Kentucky got jealous or something.
No. He’s an unrelated county clerk from a different county who coincidentally has the same last name.
Different county, no relation, he claims she’s his “sister in Christ”.

Let her stay in jail until she promises to do her job and/or her term expires and/or she gets removed from office.
They will also be given the option to comply or go to jail.
In an earlier link it was stated that they were all interviewed and four said that they would stick with Kim, one said that he or she would issue licenses and one declined to state an opinion.
She’ll make a ton of money in any case. The memoir is undoubtedly already ghost written and the speaking tour planned.

Except she is an agent of the government and she is the one doing the persecuting. I know those who agree with her won’t see it that way, but that is the reality.
I hope they can figure out a way to charge for for ordering her staff to disobey the law.
I hate those religious whack-a-doos saying that she’s being jailed for her beliefs. No, she’s being jailed for failure to comply with a court order.
