- Impeachment by the legislature.
- Resignation.
- Death.
- The end of her term and not winning the next election.

Why aren’t any of the 6 ‘Deputies’ signing any of the new SSM certificates? The judge told them no shenanigans. If it’s true that they all have the authority to do so, seems like more contempt of court.
There must be something in place for at least one of them to sign for when the clerk is on vacation or otherwise out of the office. Even if it’s just one of them. Throw them in the clink. All of them or on down the line as needed.

At least two same sex licenses have been issued so far. Five out of the six deputies have agreed to sign them. They didn’t before because their boss ordered them not to do so. The judge overruled that and ordered them to start to sign them and they did.
6 other clerks have the authority to sign. Kim ordered them not to. 5 of the six said they’d comply with the judge. The one who didn’t is Kim’s son.
THere is a difference between “signing” and “issuing” - I beleive on the actual clerk can “sign” them (rubber stamp with her signature).

If it’s rubber stamped with Kim’s signature, fine. So much for her stand against other peoples rights. Let them rubber stamp them until her term is up, she can stay in jail. I hope they would impeach her first though to get rid of her paycheck. Or garnish it to pay for her time in the clink.

But the deputy clerks are not parties before the court. By what authority would the judge hold them in contempt?
