And if they all took an oath to make them deputies to uphold the county clerks office and the law.
Or are they all administrative assistants at some level. And they are really not deputies of the clerks office. Worker bees.

I think in part that was the judge trying to give Davis an out - if she didn’t want to sign, fine, so have someone who didn’t feel it was a damning act sign, but she refused. Which just goes to show it’s not about her personal conscience, it’s about imposing her beliefs on other people.
Ahh, but those 3 aren’t hot, and those cots… Or at least that’s what I’ve heard. I mean,* how would I know?*
Seriously, going from a nice cushy civil servant (Oh! The Irony!) job to a cell is likely to be a very big shock indeed. If she can’t even get over same-sex couples, I imagine the current class of folks she is now housed with are something she is ill prepared to deal with.
Six days.
I would refer you to my post #667.

…till she’s found hanging in her cell and the shit really hits the fan.

You know, I honestly don’t think that would have a huge impact on the political discourse in this country.
Davis’ fanbase is people who would be anti-gay regardless. They already believe the country has done something contrary to God, Nature, and The American Way, and a fair number of them believe that most Americans are one step away from the broiler. Davis’ death would be additional grist for that mill, but they already have so much that it would hardly matter.
They already have all the martyrs they need, and they see them every time they look in a mirror.
GoFundMe is out. It’s against their policy.
“GoFundMe will not allow campaigns that benefit individuals or groups facing formal charges or claims of serious violations of the law.”
When the original word ends in an “s”, 2 apostrophes are necessary: Davis’’
While I’m here, fuck that donkey fart of an excuse of a woman. Hooray! Licenses are being issued!
Perhaps you’re thinking of names that end in apostrophes:
Adda-Guppi’ was a famous Assyrian Princess. Adda-Guppi’'s autobiography is what made her famous.
Endings in ‘s’ are possessed as follows:
Adda-Guppi’‘s’s spelling annoys some copy editors. Even the most tolerant copy editors bristle at Adda-Guppi’'s’s’s spelling.
Adda-Guppi’ was a famous Assyrian Princess. Adda-Guppi’'s autobiography is what made her famous.
Yeah. It had a real resurgence in the 1920s, when it spawned a famous trend: goldfish-swallowing. After all, you too can add a guppy to the current world record.
She lost an $80,000 salary gig, but will have a shadow written book deal in no time plus speaking fees at GOP and religious rallies. She’s set for life.
What a political machine, making nuttery a shrewd financial move.
I’m sure someone can pay off a guard to look the other way while somebody shanks her.
Well, if GoFundMe won’t crowdsource to pay her legal fees, they’re SURE not gonna accept donations for that…

The (embarrassing) fly in that ointment is that she’s a Democrat…

Even better. They love nothing more than Democrats who have supposedly been left behind by the party’s relentless march to the left. Look at Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman.
I normally don’t say anything, but that one really got my goat! It was like four times in one post and I tried to be nice about it. I admit misused apostrophes drive me batty.
I remember reading a post long ago about this fellow who tried to quit smoking. He made himself a sign. The sign had a grammatical mistake.
He said that watching his girlfriend freak at the mistake over and over again was more than enough entertainment to distract him from smoking. That is totally me - I want to carry around a magic marker to the grocery store sometime. Apple’s my ass.And I’m not leaving. It wasn’t a threat, just a comment. I still like this place a lot.
That should have been written with quote marks and a comma.
(And…Gaudere’s Law! I made four different typos in the course of composing this post! :o )
(Also…agreement! I laugh at the drug store with the big sign that says “Drug’s.” I also get a big grin out of “Don Jose Mexican Food.” My goodness, Jose, what a strange last name you have! How is Mrs. Mexican Food, and all the little Mexican Foods?)
How do you stand on “would of/could of/should of”? We could use some serious help there, too…
Ooh! Oooh! And the “begging the question” one, too! “All this simply begs the question of whether Kim Davis is just a martyrdom-seeking attention whore…” No! No, it doesn’t! It raises the question. That’s not the same thing!

Well, could’ve and could of are homonyms. But the correct pronunciation is coulda’.

This exactly. They will be doing cartwheels in the street about this. I’m sure someone has already started ghost writing “her story” so they can get her set up with public appearances as quickly as possible.

Actually, it’s “would have/could have/should have”.
Also, I have a well educated friend who is always using the structure, “I going to try and make it”. Let’s try “…try to make it”, shall we?

Aside from the fact that I have my doubts that anyone of moderate education and above could take your gibbering horseshit for long, is your friend from Hawaii?
Ooh! Oooh! And the “begging the question” one, too! “All this simply begs the question of whether Kim Davis is just a martyrdom-seeking attention whore…” No! No, it doesn’t! It raises the question. That’s not the same thing!
I don’t think it raises the question. I think it answers the question.
Yes, she absolutely is.

Bolding mine.
“Try and [infinitive verb],” a phrase which appears/appeared in the writing and speech of many well-respected authors such as Dickens, Lawrence, and Hemingway, is not the problem in this sentence. You might try and look at the bolded part again in hopes of discovering the *real *flaw.
