I forgot to mention why I think Cliven Bundy is relevant: Judge Bunning set her free after protestors showed up outside his home. Why are right-wing types seemingly able to intimidate & defy law enforcement & the judiciary without repercussion?
Technically you said she’d give in at six days. The way I’m reading it the judge initiated the release and imposed restrictions. It also sounds like this is going to be only a temporary reprieve for Kimmy.
I love it! He should be arrested for contempt of court – the High Court of God Almighty!
Let no one deny the existence of a theocratic movement in this country. The same fuckwits who denigrate Sharia Law are hell-bent on putting us all under Christian Law.
If any of you have seen that video you probably noticed that they played Eye of The Tiger. It seems that this may cause additional legal problems. Survivor frontman Frankie Sullivan posted on Facebook in response.
I almost think that the RR really are hell bent on converting a nation. What they don’t understand is that you can’t cherry pick the constitution like they do with the bible.
What totally worries me is the fact that there is all this controversy over someone who refuses to do her job as told and is praised for it.
It occurs to me that after the weddings, the records of the marriages are going to have to be recorded and archived. I wonder if she intends to try interfering with that.
Ah yes. The wedding guests clamored for more grape juice, having quickly exhausted the host’s juice cellar, and were amazed that the best juice was saved for last, after everyone had loaded up on Welch’s.
I think it’s fair to point out that Jesus was making wine for Jews. Considering all the things they weren’t allowed to eat, it’s only fair that they should be allowed wine while God’s new children aren’t.
I was wondering if they had permission to use that song at the rally yesterday. I’m glad to learn they did not and I hope they have to pay something. What a stupid spectable that was. Do we know how many people were there?
This morning I’m watching Fox news. They had Bill Donohue from the catholic advantage on and he was arguing that the ACLU supports groups of prisoners gathering in groups to pray, but they don’t support Kim Davis refusing to allow gay people to marry. And he can’t understand this contradiction. I can’t understand his argument.
Anybody want to give it a shot? I mean, are prisoners somehow not doing doing their job when they gather to pray? I don’t get it.
Plus I’d think a catholic fella would be ok with prayer.
Internal consistency is not exactly Donohue’s specialty. He has been raging lately about the Pope’s views on climate change and how he’s “not a scientist,” while endorsing the views of Rick Santorum who is also “not a scientist.”
