Yeah, that was Paula Jones.
IIRC, that was one time in 40-something thousand posts.
You misspelled attention.
Yes but I think at least some of the time he is trolling, especially when he gets into his pedantry.
There’s always another quarry.
See, this is the problem with spending time at Christianforums. When someone is blatantly and obviously intellectually retarded like our friend here, it doesn’t usually occur to everyone, so it’s worth it to spell it out, step by step, for the peanut gallery, so that maybe they get it. Here, people aren’t fucking morons, so everyone else has already figured it out.
…See, that’s why I don’t post here as often. You guys are all just too damn smart, and anything actually worth saying has already been said by someone better-qualified to say it. Buncha dicks.
Even if that’s true (and I am guessing you are referring more to his tu quoque gotcha threads than his pedantry), Bricker also posts lots of factual information and thoughtful legal analysis and stuff. Comparing him to the other posters mentioned is ridiculous.
Thump, thump, thump, thump, thumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthuuuuuuumpppp.
That’s not a bible I’m thumping.
I highly disagree. You also correct people on matters of law but you don’t do it like an asshole.
…Yet. I’ve got my eyes on you. :dubious:
Lawyers will lawyer. It’s what they do. To us hew-mons it often sounds like pedantic asshattery but it’s just their way of communicating.
I’m just glad they don’t send us a bill.
Yet. We bill in three year cycles.
I’m poor, do you accept payment in veggies?
Roasted Brussels sprouts with a little seasoning, yes.
I’m a liberal and a Christian. Is it okay for me to use the Bible to point out what a hypocrite she is?
It seems that Kim Davis’s personal anti-gay crusade is having animpact: more Americans now side against those trying to use religious liberty as a tool of bigotry now than before.
So thanks for that, I guess that’s the flower that grew out of the pot of dirt.
It’s pretty simple, really, any moron should be able to grasp it.
If you claim that a book of rules guides your life, everyone in the universe is free to point out when you violate those rules or casually ignore the ones you do not like. It requires no belief in those same rules to ‘earn’ the right to speak up about the difference between “This book is the LAW” and “Well, except for the rules about dairy, meat, shellfish, slavery, etc, etc”.
Ms. Davis is choosing which rules to apply and ignoring others. It is not hypocrisy on the part of people who do not believe in those rules to point out that she is claiming virtue for attempting to rigidly enforce one bible verse (on everyone, regardless of their own personal beliefs) while completely ignoring verses in the same section of said book.
I don’t play baseball, but if a team is screaming doctrine over one section of the rules while violating other sections, everybody on the face of the Earth is entitled to point out that hypocrisy.
The real issue of course isn’t the twerp’s religion or hypocrisy but the fact that she has sworn to obey and administer civil law. If she’s changed her mind about her oath the only honorable thing to do is to resign.
[QUOTE=Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ]
Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

Is it possible that Huckabee, Davis and all the other twerps have never even read the Bible they claim to revere? Jesus, of course, never argued against homosexuality (though he did against adultery); indeed some who’ve studied the Gospels far more than the twerps suspect Jesus was gay!
I wonder if there’s any truth to this:
