Fuck you, Rowan County (KY) Clerk Kim Davis

So you’re saying that Kim Davis’ religious freedom is being trampled on in the name of liberal ideology?

He might be a model for Oshkosh bib overalls and straw hats.

Personally, I’ve always tried to explain to my various bosses that my religion prevented me from showing up before 11ish at the very least*, but no dice. Those oppressive chucklefucks always trampled plumb upon my religious rights.

  • I worship the morning Sun, you see. From a ritual bed, complete with sanctified pillow and sacramental eiderdown.

That’s pretty much what’s happened, other than her choice to deface the forms. Whether or not that is “interfering” is up to Judge Bunning to decide.

Which husband do you mean?

Thats what the first jail stint enforced - she initially said she would prevent the deputies from issuing licenses - then she comes back to work and defaces the forms (insuring that they are not valid under the current statutes), the ones issued before her return likely still passed muster and ‘allowing’ the deputies (or deputy in this case) to issue her “new” form.

When the facts are against you, argue the law.
When the law is against you, argue the facts.
When the facts and the law are against you – welcome to magellan01’s world-view.

Just exactly the same way that you’d be in favor of President Obama invoking some emergency powers he might have.

Hey, Magellan is a colossal dipshit, but he’s trying.

The devil manifests in the form of a painfully full bladder.

Very!

Ba-dum-tssh! Thankyew!
.

*Very *trying.

Leaving aside your whining about the nature of our discussion, what you are saying is you don’t have any answer. You say you are genuinely interested in hearing my answers but you clearly aren’t since I (and others) have been giving you answers for about the last three or four pages.

Let’s summarise: there is a dilemma. Others have a solution. You don’t like that solution but you have no other solution. Conclusion: the solution proposed by others is going to have to apply, since you don’t have one.

Are we done here, or are you going to tell us again how you don’t like our solution while having no solution yourself?

Are there other crimes out there where you feel, if the person commits them often enough, we should just stop prosecuting them for it?

Sounds like time for another vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

As for the question of religious accommodation and can the government force one to act a certain way, the government forces people to act certain ways all the time. There are laws against murder and robbery, so you can’t just do those. What about religions that require human sacrifice – is there no line to be drawn?

This shitcunt refuses to do her job as mandated. She should be fired at the very least but preferably jailed for a very long time for defying lawful orders.

Wait a minute. Let’s back this bus up.

She was let out by the judge if she agreed to not interfere with the issuing of SSM licenses.

And that 5 of the 6 deputy clerks could issue them and she would not have to issue them.

Magelleon01 wants accommodation. Is that not accommodation to Kim Davis?

I think it’s more than fair to her craziness (until she can be recalled or impeached).

If I was the judge her ass would be right back in jail with her shenanigans of the defacing of the county document.

NO. The judge let her out without securing any agreement at all from Mrs. Davis. I called that a mistake when it happened, and I was right.

This likely has been said before but I’ll say it anyway.

The Supreme Court of the land has made a decree. As I understand it that pretty much makes it law for the foreseeable future.

She was found in contempt of court for her actions.

She should have been stowed away in jail so long as she remained in contempt. The compromise was a stupid decision that amounts to;

Parent: You are grounded until you agree to abide by the rules of this house.
Kid: You can’t make me! You’re wrong!

A few days later;

Kid: I won’t do what you say, but I won’t stop my brother from following the rules. Can I come out now?
Parent: Yes. Here’s a cookie.

Don’t kick her out of office.

[21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.](Matthew 5-7 KJV - And seeing the multitudes, he went up - Bible Gateway)

Leading into He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone

Which leads us to:

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven

And in we finally reach the end at:

Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.

So in conclusion; her Savior has decreed that it isn’t her place to judge, but rather to accept knowing that God will sort it out - and to not buck Earthly authority in God’s name.

And please don’t bring up anything from the Old Testament because Christ repudiated it in its entirety <– Thank you W.S. Burroughs and R.A. Heinlein

So she going directly against Christ’s instructions - both materially and spiritually - by being a fuckwit about this.

Does this mean she’ll burn?

Zeke

P.S. I certainly hope so.

Again: NO, THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. Mrs. Davis never agreed to anything. She made no statements of any kind indicating that she would not interfere with anyone else doing their job. Judge Bunning just decided to let her go, and it was, as I’ve said, a huge fucking mistake on his part.

I have no idea why our justice system is so lenient on white conservatives, but it’s really pissing me off.

For the record, here’s what I said when Judge Bunning ordered her release:
