Huge! Giant! Needle!
Well it was more like a very large amount of dye stuff that they injected into my arm prior to my CT Scan yesterday.
Ouchie
Damn technician got all patronising and told me to stop shaking - sure your about to inject some freaky dye stuff into my arm and you’ve just list all the possible reactions I could have to it so I’m going to be all calm and collected NOT.
Hint: Next time DON’T show me the freaky giant tube of dye and the needle, I really don’t need to see it.
Bloody hospitals, they take away your clothes, put you into backless white gowns so you can’t run away and then scare the living freaking daylights out of you.
Eeeeek! I hope you feel better and the technician didn’t leave too many bruises.
No bruises. Do red spots and swelling count?
OUCH! You have all my sympathy. I hate even tiny needles let alone gigantic dye injecting ones.
Heh. Sorry about your needle, leechbabe. If it will make you feel better, I have a really freaky needle story (It’s about halfway down the page. Warning: it’s pretty long).
Luck on the results leechbabe.
I had a dye test last December while I was 8 months pregnant because of my heart and the Tech from Hell put the needle in the back of my hand (or should I say THRU the back of my hand). He then proceded to push the dye in too fast and ruptured the vein. I had a bruise for 2 weeks. I swear they put the techs thru D/S school before they give them a job!!
Ouch! Good luck to you, those things are scary!
I had the same thing, on the inside of my arm, not the back of my hand. They struggled to get the fucking big needle into my right arm before they ruptured the vein and realised they needed a pediatric needle, which was a freaking big needle, but not as bad.
